February 15th, 2012: I've been busy with real life stuff, but I added two Metal Gear RAY wallpapers in the Downloads section for Metal Gear Solid 4. More to come.
January 13th, 2012: I just noticed that the wallpaper section is missing all the wallpapers. But I fixed that so not to worry.
January 2nd, 2011: This site will be going through some more maintenance so if you see any broken links then that means that I still need to fix them. There won't really be any noticeable changes, but it's to make my life easier.
December 11th, 2011: The videos for the HD Collection (besides Peace Walker) are finally up so go check them out. I still need to upload more Metal Gear Solid 4 videos and maybe some for Peace Walker as well. If you are on the mobile site, I still need to work on the video page.
November 7th, 2011: I just deleted all of my Metal Gear Solid videos so I can make room for the new ones in HD. So don't bother going to the Videos section. I even deleted the Metal Gear Solid 1 videos just because the quality was bad (recorded back when I had an EasyCap), so about 2 months ago I rerecorded them and am just now touching them up and getting ready to upload them to Youtube then this site. After this game is done being uploaded, I will move on to the HD collection but it may take some time so that I can record.
November 6th, 2011: I have some exciting news (I find it exciting anyway). Ringtones are now available to download on your phone. All you need is internet access on your phone in order to download. Be sure to check it out here: http://metalgearplanet.com/ringtones. Also, the current wallpaper in the downloads section are all there for your downloading pleasure. I know the downloads section is a bit of a mess, so I plan on cleaning it up as soon as possible so that it is more easy to browse. I have also added a FaceBook like button on the top of every page, so be sure to support this site (if you want). I am also looking forward to that HD Collection release in just 2 days!
November 3rd, 2011: The wallpaper section is going through some problems, but they will be fixed soon. I don't know what happened to them, but after I uploaded this new layout some of the wallpaper went missing. Expect them back soon. I'm very excited for the HD Collection. The release date for North America is November 8th which is this coming Tuesday.
October 31st, 2011: Today marks the one year anniversary of this website. Originally as mgswalkthroughs.com, it has evolved into metalgearplanet.com I'd like to thank all of my affiliates for helping get the word out for my website. The admin from mgstruefans.com (Matt, also known as NpaMattAlan) was the first to help me out. He also gave me advice with the content and the site layout. Thanks Matt. I posted a link at the bottom of this article to a picture of how the site use to look like. Since it's just a picture, none of the buttons will work, but it's quite a sight. By the way, the email address posted is no longer being used. Thanks again. Happy Halloween. Original Site
October 24th, 2011: So you might of notice the new layout. I've been working on it for about a week or 2. You might notice a couple of small errors but I'm working on fixing them all. In other news, I'm thinking about taking down the Video of the Week program. It's getting difficult to get people interested.
October 18th, 2011: I'm going to be deleting some videos to make room for the HD collection. I do have an HD recorder so I thought I should be giving you guys the best quality when it finally becomes available. So expect these new videos around say... November 6th ^___^
October 4th, 2011: I fixed the wallpaper gallery so that I am not relying on another website to display the images. This will be more reliable. I also noticed that the sources links on the soundtracks were broken, so I fixed those as well. This site has been going through a lot of background work lately so it's not a big surprise when stuff like this happens.
October 4th, 2011: There has been a problem with the wallpaper gallery. I was working on something else on the server and I noticed that they are now non-existent. I will be working on bringing them back, but until then you can still enjoy the soundtracks. It was my fault since I used a third party image hosting service. From now on, I will be hosting all images on this site to prevent this from happening again. I will post another note once they are back online.
September 23rd, 2011: As you can see, I redid the banner because I just felt like it needed to be changed. I also gave the mobile version a make over, complete with a new banner. I hope you like it. The mobile version comes up on the PSP as well. I made it so that the mobile site can stretch on different screen widths. Enjoy.
September 6th, 2011: As you can see, there have been some changes to this site. If you are still typing "mgswalkthroughs.com", then you have been redirected to the new link "metalgearplanet.com". That is because this is not just a walkthroughs site anymore. Also, there has been a new feature added called "Video of the Week" which I just launched last night. Every week (currently on Mondays), there will be a new video added for the week. But not all videos will be from the owner. You can request to submit a Youtube video of something Metal Gear Solid related. Who knows, it might just get video of the week for everyones viewing pleasure.
September 3rd, 2011: I changed the banner so that the pictures of the game are filled in. It was originally going to be sort of a movie, but it would probably be too big, and I couldn't figure out how to something like that. Anyway, enjoy the new banner. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks.
Aug 30th, 2011: As you can see, the banner at the top may not be working. I'm trying to replace the slideshow for something else and I have yet to get it working. I have added more soundtracks and wallpaper in the downloads section. I know, the soundtracks aren't all there, but it's a start. Enjoy.
August 6th, 2011: I recently bought a Hauppauge HD PVR after getting fed up with the poor quality of my other capture cards. So I will be deleting some old videos and replacing them with new ones which may take time because I will have to go through each game and do everything again, but this time in HD. This new tool will also prove useful for the wallpapers. Enjoy them as they come up.
July 27th, 2011: I decided to put off the Comment Box for now as I have other arrangements for this site. I have been putting off the Downloads section. Also because the Comment Box never got much activity to begin with. As for the Downloads, if you have anything to contribute (wallpaper, music, etc), I am open to anything you might have to offer. Thanks.
July 12th, 2011: The comment section has been getting a lot of spam lately. So if it doesn't work for you then it means it's still being worked on to help prevent anymore spam. I am setting up a CAPTCHA system that asks you to type in a random code before posting which I know we all hate, but it's not too hard. Hopefully it will be up and running again shortly.
June 19th, 2011: We are happy to announce that we are now mobile phone compatible! This includes the PSP. You now should have access to the latest news, walkthroughs, videos and more from this very website, now on your small mobile device. Please note that there may be some bugs, and the site may not look good on every phone because of issues with Screen Resolution (some phones have smaller screen width than others) so please let me know if this is a problem. Thank you.
June 8th, 2011: There's going to be some changes around here. Instead of a walk throughs only site, this will now be a news site too. Please don't mind the clutter, there is going to be construction over the next few days (or weeks).
June 3rd, 2011: Something terrible has happened to the comment box and has stopped working. It will be undergoing maintenance, however some of the comments may be lost. Update: The comment box is now updated and functioning properly.
April 29th, 2011: Emails are no longer required in the comment section, and the logo links back to the homepage. Also the "Walkthroughs" button was shifting to the left once rolled-over but that's fixed now, thanks to our affiliate, Matt, from mgstruefans.com for pointing that out.
April 26th, 2011: You may notice some changes to the graphics. They're not perfect, but it is improving. Oh, and please check out the affiliates page for more great Metal Gear Solid sites.
April 17th, 2011: Almost all the Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 videos are up. But now I got to work on redoing the Metal Gear Solid 4 video pages. They will be up shortly.
April 13th, 2011: I am working on getting more Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 videos. So check back every now and then. I also added a News Archive so that the news doesn't flood this page.
April 8th, 2011: The Metal Gear Solid 1 videos have been updated. It is now organized, each video has it's own page, and it contains all Boss fights. Enjoy.
April 6th, 2011: It may take a while to get more videos because my capture card isn't working on my new laptop. However, there will be a couple of videos posted that I was able to capture before. Enjoy. I also fixed minor bugs in the comment section.
